Isabel is doing very well with her new increased level of Carbatrol.
I haven't been here in so long that I don't remember if I told anyone about her hospitalization back in November of 2006. She was at her dad's house, alone with her step mom when she had a really bad seizure. Her step mom didn't give her the Diastat, so she ended up seizing for, the doctors think about two hours, before they got it controlled.
I think it was contributed by the fact that her dad let her stepbrother who is TWICE the size of her, head butt each other over and over again.
Anyways... She couldn't walk, sit up on her own, or even talk well for almost a week.
They upped her Carbatrol from 300 mg to 500 mg.
On August 2nd, she has an appt to get her foot x rayed to see if she'll need a foot orthotic. She'll see specialists in the neuromotor clinic.
She's attending summer school now. She loves it when the bus comes for her. lol!
My baby is definitely growing up!!!
Anyways, I hope that everyone else is doing well, and know that my prayers are with you all.
Much Love and Support,
Lori
