2005 Second Annual Vascular Birthmarks Foundation
Awareness Day

May 15, 2005

It's never too early to prepare for VBF Awareness Day. Our emphasis is focused on grassroots fundraisers to help fuel the projects and programs the VBF is pursuing, but Awareness Education is equally important. The vital thing is - participation - on some level - be it money raising projects, passing out pamphlets and other published materials, or generating local awareness articles in newspapers, etc. The VBF has all the necessary tools to help people get started, and will even assign an Awareness Day Volunteer to serve as a campaign coach if needed. Volunteers can sign-up at the website; or email Paige at BASPASTS@cs.com ; or call 877-823-4646.

The VBF - creating a circle of volunteerism and hope for all vascular birthmarks and related conditions.
Please support the VBF Awareness Day - May 15, 2005.

If you need ideas on what you can do to help the cause, visit the VBF website for details (http://birthmarks.org), or please contact me.

You can even support an Awareness Event being hosted by another member. You can sell the VBF "We Care Bear" or Pass out fliers for the EBay Auction "Celebrity Spring Cleaning for VBF Awreness Day".

Also, a teenager with a vascular birthmark is selling the silicone bracelets for Awareness Day. You can order them directly from her. What a great way to support VBF Awareness Day, and in turn, support a fellow member.

The SWSC is dedicated to spreading the word about Sturge-Weber syndrome. We have pamphlets you can pass out to help raise awareness for SWS. Education and fundraising are equally important. Information will be posted on the website soon regarding our educational hand-outs. Please contact me for more information.

Thanks for your help!
