Many of you know Hank Bartenbach, and might already have heard the news. Hank begins surgery with Dr. Waner on the 17th, and The Learning Channel is filming it. The VBF also set up a feature called "Ask Hank", where adults with pws and the parents can ask Hank questions.
And of course, back in January our own Brenda Villa launched "Brenda's Corner" for the SWSC (with "Ask Brenda" and "Adults-General" boards).
Volunteers with SWS/PWS are making a difference, and finally finding their voice.
If you have SWS and/or PWS, and would like to volunteer, please contact me. Of course, parents, relatives and friends are most welcome!
The SWSC is participating in the 2005 VBF Awareness Day. Everyone, please help educate and raise awareness for vascular birthmarks. Contact me, or visit the VBF website for details.
