New Parent looking for some direction

My daughter is about to turn 1 month old and we are being told that she may have a PWS on her face. Our Pediatrician is unable to diagnose this and she wants to send us to Denver to get it checked. Do we need to make the special trip to Denver or can we find someone locally to help us out in determining PWS and then if she may have SWS? I guess I am confused why we can't get something here and then go to Denver if we need to. Thanks for any help
